When I travelled to Japan I used to buy a prepaid SIM at the airport or rent a mobile Wi-Fi device, but from now on I want to use an eSIM. It's very convenient.
Returning home temporarily
I bought this for a temporary trip home. It works without any problems and I was glad to get it at a low price. Even in mountainous areas such as Nikko I never lost coverage and could use LTE. In crowded places the speed sometimes drops, but not enough to bother me. It's perfectly comfortable to use.
